MANUFACTURING TALENT

For the manufacturing industry's labor shortage,
we deliver "trained, work-ready talent."

Specialized manufacturing training is completed before departure. Kiraboshi develops people who can perform on the manufacturing floor from their very first day in Japan.

CHALLENGES

The manufacturing industry's hiring challenges

❓ Fewer young applicants are disrupting line operations

❓ Safety, hygiene and 5S basics aren't reaching new hires

EDUCATION

Training designed specifically for manufacturing

01

Instilling 5S and discipline

Trainees master Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain (5S) through live-in training, so they fit naturally into the culture of Japanese manufacturing floors.

02

KY (hazard prediction) and safety education

Before departure, trainees learn the fundamentals of health and safety on the floor, including near-miss (hiyari-hatto) awareness, point-and-call (shisa-kosho), and the Zero-Accident campaign.

03

Basic machine operation and technical terms

Trainees study the basic processes of the manufacturing floor — pressing, welding, assembly and more — together with the relevant technical terms in Japanese, and also learn how to read drawings.

PREPARATION

What we ask companies to prepare

  • Housing / dormitory: a dormitory or company housing near the factory
  • Shift structure: share in advance whether two- or three-shift rotations apply
  • Safety gear: work clothes, safety shoes and protective equipment
  • OJT lead: appoint a person in charge of training new hires
  • Multilingual manuals: we can help prepare these
PITFALLS

Common pitfalls and how we prevent them

❌ Can't read drawings or work instructions

Our fix: intensive pre-departure training in manufacturing terminology and drawing symbols.

❌ Low safety awareness leading to frequent near-misses

Our fix: KY activities and point-and-call are built into training, so trainees arrive having already absorbed a safety culture.

❌ Shift work causes people to drop out

Our fix: having built disciplined daily rhythms through live-in training, they adapt quickly to night shifts and two-shift rotations.

❌ Language barriers strain workplace relationships

Our fix: Japanese at N4 or above plus business-conversation training enable smooth communication with OJT leads.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about manufacturing hiring

Can you support specialized skills such as welding and painting?
We cover the Specified Skilled Worker fields of "Materials Industries," "Industrial Machinery Manufacturing," and "Electric, Electronics & Information Industries." Please consult us about your specific processes.
Are three-shift and night-shift rotations possible?
Fully supported with Specified Skilled Workers, and also possible with Technical Intern Training under certain conditions. Sharing your shift plan in advance is important.
Can they do both line work and inspection work?
Both are possible. If you share your placement plan in advance, we adjust the key focus areas during pre-departure training.
Do you also have female candidates?
Yes. For processes such as electronic-component assembly and inspection, we can propose many female candidates.
Is large-scale hiring (10 or more) also possible?
From a candidate pool of about 3,000, we can support large-scale hiring, conducting batch hiring based on advance planning.
