FAQ

FAQ

We've gathered the questions we most often receive from companies considering hiring with us.

Is Kiraboshi a recruitment agency?
No. Kiraboshi is not a recruitment agency but a sending organization and training company in Myanmar and Indonesia. Job placement, registered support and employment procedures within Japan are handled by licensed Registered Support Organizations and Supervising Organizations.
What exactly is covered in the 1,500 hours of pre-departure training?
Kiraboshi delivers 1,500 hours of pre-departure training on a live-in (residential) basis. This total covers not only Japanese language study but also daily-life habits, work ethic and job-specific practical skills.
What Japanese language level do trainees reach?
We train Technical Intern Trainees to reach JLPT N4 and Specified Skilled Workers to reach JLPT N3 or above. With direct instruction from a teaching team of more than ten, including native Japanese teachers, we develop "Japanese that works on the job" rather than "textbook Japanese."
Which job categories do you cover?
In Phase 1 (current), we focus on three fields: Nursing Care, Manufacturing and Construction. Going forward, we plan to expand progressively into building cleaning, accommodation, food and beverage manufacturing, agriculture and food service.
How does the first consultation work?
Simply pick your preferred date and time from our booking calendar (Spir) to reserve a 30-minute online consultation on the spot. There is no need to fill out a form or wait for a call back. In the meeting, we listen to your company's situation, concerns and requirements, and tell you frankly what Kiraboshi can and cannot do.
How long does the hiring process take?
From the first consultation to entry into Japan, allow roughly 8-11 months as a guide. Breakdown: candidate selection and interviews (about 1-2 months), pre-departure training (about 5-6 months) and entry procedures (about 2-3 months). For details, please see our Hiring Flow.
How much does it cost?
Because costs vary by job category, number of hires and contract type, we provide a concrete quote at the first consultation. We promise to state the total amount up front so that no hidden costs or additional charges arise.
Should we choose Myanmar or Indonesia?
The best answer depends on the job category, the number of hires and your recruiting needs. As a general tendency, Myanmar is often chosen for Nursing Care, Manufacturing and Construction, while Indonesia is often chosen for accommodation, food service and other service industries, but ultimately we make a recommendation after an individual consultation.
Is there support if someone leaves the job early after being hired?
The Japan branch of Taiju Japanese Language School provides ongoing follow-up (life and workplace consultation) even after arrival in Japan. If a problem arises, we work with your company to identify the cause and resolve it. We explain the details when you sign the contract.
This is our first time hiring foreign talent. Can you help?
Yes, companies doing this for the first time are exactly who we want to hear from. From explaining the Technical Intern Training and Specified Skilled Worker systems to setting up your internal structure, preparing housing and providing life support, we offer one-stop assistance together with Registered Support Organizations and Supervising Organizations.
